I can't believe I'm doing this again, but Lera has lost yet another family who had committed to adopting her. I'm including two links, below, although there is significant overlap because I wrote all of the second post and part of the first was based on that post. If you think you could complete Lera's adoption and if you have already had a homestudy completed (which basically means no hidden surprises are in store to derail your adoption plans) then please contact Andrea Roberts of Reece's Rainbow at bamaroberts@comcast.net.
Lera now has a $10,500 grant, but the adoption is expected to cost around $30,000. She is in St. Petersburg, which means you would be able to fly straight there instead of going through Moscow and then on to your adopted child's city, not to mention you'd get to see St. Petersburg!

The baby house where Lera has grown up cannot keep her there much longer and she will end up in an institution, as described in my post. If you are thinking I might be melodramatic (and I concede that's a danger for me!) then please read the book The Boy from Baby House 10, a first person account of living the nightmare that is a Russian mental institution. It is stunning, and I thought I knew what was going on!
Above all, pray.

Oh sweet little Lera. Praying for this precious girl.

Oh Jill. That is heartbreaking news. I'm praying for Lera. Lord, please, please, bring this precious girl a family, and Father, please keep her hidden under your wing as she waits. I pray that her stay at the baby house could continue, until a family comes for her. In Jesus name, Amen

That breaks my heart. So hard to read news like that.
