I can't believe I'm doing this again, but Lera has lost yet another family who had committed to adopting her. I'm including two links, below, although there is significant overlap because I wrote all of the second post and part of the first was based on that post. If you think you could complete Lera's adoption and if you have already had a homestudy completed (which basically means no hidden surprises are in store to derail your adoption plans) then please contact Andrea Roberts of Reece's Rainbow at email@example.com.
Lera now has a $10,500 grant, but the adoption is expected to cost around $30,000. She is in St. Petersburg, which means you would be able to fly straight there instead of going through Moscow and then on to your adopted child's city, not to mention you'd get to see St. Petersburg!

The baby house where Lera has grown up cannot keep her there much longer and she will end up in an institution, as described in my post. If you are thinking I might be melodramatic (and I concede that's a danger for me!) then please read the book The Boy from Baby House 10, a first person account of living the nightmare that is a Russian mental institution. It is stunning, and I thought I knew what was going on!
Above all, pray.
