Anna's Birthday Party, Part Deux

Because the American Girl store birthday party wasn't enough (after all, I did miss her birthday last year while I was in Colombia), Anna scored a birthday party at home the following week. It was supposed to be a family birthday party, except that the only family that could come was NiNi, Chandler, Shelby, Pop Pop, cousins James and Drew! Fortunately, our friends that are like family were able to come, too. We had pizza, pop, store-bought cake (because I make the ugliest cakes), and we lit the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for S'mores! Only two people had to go to the ER for clogged arteries, which was a record low for our family gatherings. Anna had been planning the roasted marshmallows for months, and wouldn't you know we had a record high in the DFW area the last two days! Of course that fact never bothered the children and a great time was had by all. Or at least that's what they told me. But they're polite children.

The birthday girl, showing off her four, count 'em FOUR, missing teeth!
