Anna--our American Girl's birthday

Anna celebrated her 8th birthday with a fun soiree at the new American Girl store in Dallas. Her cousins Chandler and Shelby accompanied her...
as well as her friend Temi, Mommy, sister Song, and...

NiNi! The food was great, the girls seemed to have a great time, and the ambience was so cute. Imagine a restaurant full of little girls and their AG dolls. Even if your daughter doesn't have an AG doll, they have loaners at the Bistro and give you a little seat for your doll, too.
We spent the hour or so before our reservations looking through the store. Oh My Word! I would have thought I was in heaven if I'd had a place like this when I was a girl. I love the historical dolls, although I am somewhat offended that the latest doll was apparently born when I was! 39 didn't feel so old until I met the Julie doll. The Julie doll even has a Barbie head with stylable hair, just like I did. My poor Barbie head probably launched my short-lived desire to be a hairdresser.
Happy Birthday sweet Anna Blythe!!

I can only imagine the wonder and excitement that filled the air. My girls can spend hours looking through the catalogs...I wonder what would happen if we ever stepped foot into a store. I sure the day was really a dream come true for your little Anna!

HaPpY BiRThDaY, AnnA!!!!!
