All the children had long since decided on costumes for the party, except for Song. She went back and forth between a sports uniform or the traditional Chinese outfit we bought at Culture Day in September.
Yesterday, she came up and said, "Mommy, I just can't decide if I want to go as a Chinese girl."
Pause.
"I guess no matter what I wear I will be going as a Chinese girl, huh?"
Took the words right out of my mouth!
