SpIGoT: Thankful Thursday--Inspiration Through Art

Today I thought we needed a happy post for my month of blogging about Down syndrome awareness! Not much makes me happier than beautiful pictures of my children, so you can easily see that I am ecstatic!!

A few months ago, I heard about a wonderful program called The Littlest Heroes Project. Since then, they have changed the name to Inspiration Through Art. By any name, however, this is a wonderful program. Children with special needs are photographed, free of charge, by a professional photographer in their area. Because we are in a large metropolitan area, I had many wonderful photographers from which to choose. We were assigned my first choice: Alyssa Maisano Photography! She kindly came to our home, another benefit of Inspiration Through Art. We are fortunate to have some lovely areas to photograph and some rather lovely subjects, too.

What a sweet program! What beautiful results! The girls will eventually be featured on the Inspiration Through Art heroes page. I don't know how Alyssa will choose which picture(s) to use, but I do know the girls look fantastic. I especially love the supersaturation of color in many of the pictures.

Thank you, Alyssa, for allowing me to share the pictures here! Naturally, I shared a LOT of pictures (including some funny outtakes, particularly of Ella) but I could have shared many more. I'm not entirely lacking restraint!
