Morning at the Shaolin Temple

Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Kung Fu martial arts. They hold kung fu demonstrations, and we were able to see one. I took a number of videos, but the only picture was of this man doing a handstand on two fingers. Oh my! Their athleticism was amazing!
While walking into the temple we met a few kung fu chickens and a rooster. Fortunately, they had eaten a big meal and were still digesting, so their kung fu wasn't as good as it is normally.

Not quite a kung fu master....yet.

I don't know how well it will show up, but this centuries-old tree has many finger sized holes in the side from the kung fu masters practicing their finger kung fu. What? Wuxi finger hold, anyone? Skadoosh!

The kung fu master family disguised as out-of-shape American tourists with their newly adopted son.

Do you see the depression on the floor behind the chair? Devoted Buddhist monks spent hours a day there for years, worshipping. Convicting, no? I don't have a depression on my floor anywhere, that's for sure.

Kung fu master-in-training Tian Suo taming the dragon's son, a doggish turtle of fearsome strength!!
OK, OK, so I'm not as funny nor entertaining as John....he'll be back soon, I promise.
